Language plays a pivotal role in the analysis of literary texts due to its different levels, including pragmatics. It resembles a gateway through which we can enter the field of stylistics. Therefore, it is essential to know how helpful the association between the language and stylistics is in a better interpretation of a text and this is what this paper will emphasize. In other words, this paper will probe into the intersection of language and stylistics by discussing the usage of these aspects in various conversations taken from The Tragedy of Karbala (2004) by Amina Inloes. Review of the related literature will show an immense gap in the representation of a stylistics approach in the study of Inloes's literary work. This research intends to fill the identified gap by shedding light on the politeness theory and the issue of discourse structure of drama.
